Aisha jamila hinds was born in America, and is best-known for her role on The Shield. Bachchan's older brother Aditya Rai was a co-producer and wrote Dil Ka Rishta along with their mother. The family moved to Mumbai in the city, where she attended Arya Vidya Mandir. The two first films of her career included Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya and Iruvar. Bachchan became the face of New Bollywood with these films which defied the basic Bollywood form of structure. Bachchan became the New Queen of Bollywood following her performance of the role in Devdas 2002, one of the most famous Bollywood films. This film also became the first Bollywood film that was screened at Cannes Film Festival. The following year she won great acclaim for her portrayal of Chokher Bali (2003) a tense drama based on Rabindranath Tagore's book. Bachchan was the very first Indian to join the jury at the Cannes Film Festival. Bachchan played the lead role as a lead actress in Gurinder Chatha's Bride and Prejudice. It was a musical as well as dance adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. Her beauty and her fame were then brought together in her first English film in the language. In the months before releasing Provoked: A True Story 2006 in English the actress returned to Bollywood for a role in Dhoom: 2 (2006 smash success). She married Abhishek Bachchan, who is a co-star and son of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan. This marriage brought two of India's most prominent individuals in one place.
